MODERNISED TWO PACK COLOUR CARINDALE KITCHEN
When fitting a new kitchen, white is often the safest bet but many people are starting to research for something different, as safe also means same. Deviating from white can also give your contemporary schemes more warmth and texture, making a house feel like a home.
We have just completed a kitchen with that thought in mind. We had a client come in that needed to match the footprint as tiles continued throughout the entire downstairs floor area and they did not want to invest in changing it all. Take a look at the kitchen before Craftbuilt stepped in.
The post-renovation shows a wonderful transformation into a modern kitchen. The colours chosen succeeded in blending with the Terracotta floors beautifully instead of running with the typical white choice.
This kitchen was simplified and modernised by using flat style doors internally while utilising profiled panels for the bar backs only keeping with the tone of the home.
The stone top chosen for this project was the Smartstone Amara. For the doors, the two-pack colour Possum with 30% sheen was a fabulous choice. The handles are in black. The Meranti timber, post cladding and picture rails for spices.
We also created a more open space by keeping one wall free of overheads.
It was also important to the client to improve on the visual impact of the supporting post in the centre of the room.
By cladding this post in natural timber and introducing picture rails finished in matching timber to link together we turned the post into an attractive feature of the kitchen as opposed to an obstruction.
The result is a kitchen with a contemporary design, emanating warmth. It certainly makes a house feel like a home! Remember, there are wonderful colours and schemes out there that will suit your needs, aside from the safe white.
