GOLD COAST CONTEMPORARY STYLE WITH ELEGANT TOUCHES
A client sought expert kitchen renovation advise from Craftbuilt for her Gold Coast home. This property had the original uninspiring ‘builders kitchen’ which was installed when the house was built around 16 years ago.
When we spoke with the client, the layout had to stay pretty much the same as it worked well. However, we added a few minor tweaks that achieved a more practical and user-friendly space. Walk through the renovation process with us with pictures our designer, Sharon, took!
Bulkheads (below) were built around the perimeter of the space with downlights over the sink and pendant hanging lights over the breakfast bar. Such a simple but effective lighting for a soon to be modern kitchen.
While everyone was busy working, our diligent Quality Check Inspector was always on the lookout for anything amiss.
This cool cat doesn’t miss a spot!
A new window was installed at a higher level to enable a splashback to run along the complete wall.
It’s looking quite brighter already!
The builder’s pantry was removed and it was replaced with a ‘butt’ pantry to give more floor space.
The integrated microwave/oven combi cabinet has Hafele Nova Scala pull outs so tins, jars and packets can be accessed easily and don’t get lost in the back of the pantry.
A perfect piece of convenience in a busy and social living space! She never has to search for a jar at the back of the shelf.
Thankfully, the cabinetry installation passed the standards of one observant Quality Control Officer, carefully sniffing the shelves.
We were relieved to find out this cool cat loved the colours.
Next, a pullout rack was installed next to the oven for easy access to oils whilst cooking.
Another piece of wonderful convenience. There’s no need to run to the cabinetry as cooking oils are within reach!
A Billi tap with both chilled and instant boiling water was installed with it’s own font away from the sink – a little touch of luxury!
Get your hot and cold water from this beautiful fixture.
The silver glass splashback installed is both beautiful and practical, and compliments all aspects of this stunning kitchen.
It’s all starting to come together and the colours are looking fabulous and in harmony.
The breakfast bar was shortened to give a bigger walkway and was widened for a more comfortable seating and food prep area, and with waterfall ends added to each end, along with lighting and slumped glass to the rear, creates a truly beautiful concept.
The benchtop is Black Mist natural granite polished to a high shine which contrasts beautifully with the matt finish to the cabinetry.
The granite was sealed to ensure longevity and will keep its looks for many years to come.
A clever use of accent lighting adds ambience to a room
which is an integral part of the home.
A little of bit of lighting can really go a long way.
Over-all, a sleek and stylish kitchen renovation using all that is good with both man-made and natural materials to achieve a dream kitchen for our clients. A lovely transformation!
